This project involves designing a new signalling method for Allez Up, one of the oldest climbing centres in Canada, founded in 1996. Known for its location in Pointe-Saint-Charles, where climbers scale emblematic 125-foot (38-metre) silos, the centre also has locations in Verdun and the Mile-End.

To show climbers where to start and where to place their hands, Allez Up used a system of adhesive tape stuck to the wall near the start holds, with a second tape marking the end of the route. Yet this method had its limits: the tape often peeled off, causing confusion, and its frequent replacement made it neither ecological nor cost-effective in the long run.

It is in this context that Allez Up commissioned me to design a new signalling method: solid arrows, screwed directly into the wall, to guide climbers in a durable and reliable way.
